This is a voluntary statement. Apex Admins is not currently required to report under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), which applies to entities with annual consolidated revenue of at least A$100 million, but we believe it is important to be transparent about how we manage modern slavery risks.
1. Our structure, operations and supply chains
Apex Admins is an Australian business based in Sydney that provides AI automation, workflow automation and managed remote specialist services to small and medium businesses. Our services are delivered by team members and contractors in Australia and Pakistan. Our main suppliers are software and cloud providers (hosting, email, CRM, automation and AI platforms), professional services firms and office and IT equipment suppliers.
2. Modern slavery risks
We consider the risk of modern slavery in our direct operations to be low, because our people are skilled professionals engaged under written terms with regular pay. We recognise higher potential risks in:
- the recruitment of offshore workers, where third-party recruiters can charge fees or create debt bondage;
- the manufacture of IT hardware such as laptops and phones; and
- outsourced services where working conditions are not visible to us.
3. Actions we take
- we recruit our team directly and never charge recruitment fees to workers;
- we provide written employment or contractor terms, pay at least minimum wage on time and never hold workers' identity documents;
- we set reasonable working hours, including for work aligned to Australian business hours;
- we prefer established technology suppliers that publish their own modern slavery or human rights statements; and
- we will investigate any concern raised and act where we identify a risk.
4. Assessing effectiveness
We review this statement and our practices at least once a year, including feedback from our team and any concerns raised, and update it as our business grows.
